Emma couldn't wait to try the "American Curls" she read about in a book that Grandma gave her: Snooze a palooza!
. She cut out the rags herself (Daddy donated the t-shirt), but Mommy had to put them in her hair. I felt a bit like Caroline Ingalls.
The curls turned out pretty cute. Something tells me I have more nights of rag rolling in my future.
I used to rag my hair. They're so much more comfortable to sleep in than regular curlers!
All (straight-haired-wanting-curly-hair) girls should rag their hair at least once to better appreciate new-fangled technology (ie curling irons). However, my daughter (12) now sniffs at the curling iron and instead is of the opinion that STRAIGHT hair is preferable. She saved her money to buy a straightener, which was awfully strange to me, since I grew up thinking that CURLS were the way to go (and woe to me who didn't HAVE curls!!).
:) Your Emma is a cutie-pie!

I remember rag rolling when we were growing up, Beth! She looked great!
