Ooh, I'm jonesing for some diet soda. Cold, sweet, bubbly . . . mmmmmm. I even love that little kiss sound the can makes when you open it.
David and I are trying to kick the soda habit. It's expensive, unhealthy, and bad for the girls to witness. I want Emma to think that soda is special, the way I used to think of it, and not a lifegiving beverage. We'd like to have a soda-free house (though we agreed it would be ok to consume at the office).
David has ordered us an iced tea maker for Christmas and we're going to try to make the switch from soda to tea. (His friend scoffed, "An iced tea maker? You have a pot, right? That's all you need!" David responded, "Do you have a coffee maker AND a pot?")
I'm down to one can per day, from about 6-8 cans. I'd like to make that zero cans by the time spring semester starts. But oh, it's hard to give up that sweet, caramel elixir. I had my one can much earlier today, and we have at least 8 cans in the fridge. Must. Resist. Must. Be. Strong.

You are a much stronget woman than I! Good luck.

Good luck to you! Every so often I give up diet coke for a week or so and then cave and buy another case.

Profgrrl, that's what I've done every single time I've given up diet cola. But you know, hope springs eternal, blah blah. Right now, I'm stuck at one can per day, and I've replaced the rest of the cans with healthful drinks such as Scotch, hot chocolate, chai w/lots of sugar. (*sigh*)
